Hello. It’s been awhile and I’ve been meaning to post, but life has been busy. This semester is really keeping me busy, good thing there’s only 6 weeks left. I wanted to share some pictures and video from our trip to New York Comic Con. Me and my family have been going for about the past 4 years and we really look forward to it.
This year however even though we enjoyed ourselves there were a couple of negatives. One of the biggest let downs was the lack of panels. I thought I was the only one that thought the panels were lacking, but after discussions with others this was one of the main complaints across the board. The other part was how crowded it was. Don’t get me wrong I expect a crowd but this year it was massive. Also it seemed people were a little less friendly this year. Not everyone of course, but more than usual. I’m also disappointed I didn’t get to meet as many of you fabulous people as I wanted to. Time was limited and the crowd made it hard to get around.
We still had a good time and my little guy left on cloud nine after receiving so many compliments on his cheeseburger back pack. He was Steven Universe and had a blast taking pictures with people. Here are a few pictures from the day and a video. E
Anyone else go to NYCC? What were your highlights? Did you encounter any problems? What con will you be attending next?
Hello lovelies. I’ve been a bit MIA due to spending the past weekend at New York Comic Con with the family. We had a great time but man were we exhausted after it was done. We didn’t get to get into The Walking Dead panel, but we did get to go to a few others which I’ll cover in my next NYCC post. Today I’ll just be posting pictures of some of the amazing Cosplayers we saw and a few items on the floor.
*If you see yourself in any of the pictures please contact me so I can credit you, thanks.*
Loved this group doing Toy Story. Great idea and they looked like they were having fun.
How awesome is this little gal? Loved seeing the little ones dressing up.
Loved her spin on Loki. One of my favorites.
Another fun group. They were so awesome and were even moving like the players in the game. This was from the Eastern Championship Cosplay competition. The contestants all did such an amazing job. I was blown away by the size and detail of this Rex and the fact that there’s a gal in there. She did an amazing job.
This gentleman won the overall competition. The wingspan on this dragon and the little details like the guy hanging off the back really put it over the top. Can’t wait to see what he does for C2E2.
We really enjoyed being able to attend the competition. You could just tell that everyone put a lot of hard work into their costumes. I’m sure the judges had a hard time picking winners, I know I for one wouldn’t have wanted to be the one to have to do so. Everyone who competed are winners in my eyes.
This is but a small fraction of what we saw. I’ve been inspired and am thinking of doing a cosplay of my own next year, perhaps something steampunk.
Here we are face to face with October already. I feel like I just wrote my September post yesterday. I’m a little behind so let’s just jump into it.
1. Watch all of the shows. So many shows are starting up in October, on my top to watch list: The Walking Dead of course, American Horror Story, and Flash among others that I’m sure fly watching.
2. Speaking of shows, beginning season 2 of Hannibal. Love it!
3. Get back into my workout routine. I hit a slump and lost steam but I’m back to it.
4. Keep up my grades in my two classes.
5. Schedule posts!!! This one is carrying over from September and is on top of my blogging “To Do” list.
6. Post more recipes on the blog.
7. Meet awesome people at New York Comic Con.
