Rediscovering My Hobby

A lot of people may know that I love photography. Taking pictures, looking at pictures others have taken, it all makes me so happy. A little over a year ago I invested in a nicer camera, and had all the intentions of getting to know it in and out. Well things happened and I had to put all that on hold. During my break I picked up my camera again, and the spark was ignitated again. I was out and about clicking away, I even met up with a friend for a mini sneaker shoot. It’s been so much fun taking pictures and editing. With school back in session and it getting dark earlier it’s going to be tricky heading out to shoot, but I’m going to try and do so every other week.

Here’s some of my pictures from the summer. I posted some of these on IG @Xo_MermaidKisses and I made a separate IG account just for my pictures for me to see and keep track. Sort of as a learning tool to see progress. You’re more than welcome to give it a look and follow if you want: @DVA.Frames.

These are so great! I love that shot on the Grounds for Sculpture – beautiful light on those leaves. Off to follow your new IG!

Thanks love! That picture reminds me of Jurassic Park for some reason. Like you can just picture dinosaurs stomping around.

  • I love photography too!! Is it obvious?? <3 I love the self portrait and the long exposure! Really great job!

You’re pics are some of my faves to look at. Thanks! It was my first time playing around with long exposure. I’m looking forward to doing more.

I love your shots, especially the ones by the sea and the long exposure one. I’ve not figured out how to do this type of thing yet with my camera that’s half ‘point and shoot’ half manual focus etc. Nice hobby to have to encourage you to go out and explore even if the weather isn’t great, it can still make a great photo!

Thanks! It was my first time doing long exposure and I’m happy with my results. Yes the weather was good to be out and about.
