Let’s Get Back to The Grind…

Hey cupcakes.

It’s been too long, but I won’t apologize. I had to take some time off and just enjoy life. Don’t get me wrong, I missed blogging, and you guys; but after the semester I had I decided to enjoy the summer with my family. Guess what, it was the right thing to do. I don’t believe that blogging should be forced, it should be something that makes you happy (mostly, there are some headaches attached), and content should come naturally. I wasn’t in a space where I could really give it my all, because my mind just wasn’t there. That’s not to say I didn’t think about my blog, or posts; I did and came up with loads of great ideas. I took tons of pictures to go along with the posts too. Now it’s just a matter of editing and posting. I also have video to edit for my YouTube channel, and am thinking of revamping things over there, so be on the lookout for that.

I know being consistent is key when it comes to the “blogging world”, and I really want to be as consistent as possible; however life for me isn’t so consistent. Work is not a regular 9-5, I have school, kids, and other life events. I can’t promise I’ll be here 2x a week, or that I won’t take a break again. What I can promise is to be honest, and try to provide you with some great content, and maybe a laugh or two. With I that being said I’ll be around more, but some rings will be changing here also. I want to share a bit more of my life with everyone, so I’ll be doing some “life updates” from time to time, along with other things I’ll start incorporating.

Thank you to those who have stuck around. I appreciate you all, and can’t wait to start posting more. I’m also slowl trying to catch up on blogs and videos (I’ve been slacking hard!).  In the meantime I’m off to enjoy some of the warm summer weather before the cold rolls around.

How was your summer? Did you do you take any special trips, or do anything special?
XOXO,

Desiree

Breaks for blogging are 100% necessary I feel. Honestly, I can’t imagine just consistently churning out content; it would eventually get stale. And despite apologizing for it myself, I don’t think people should feel bad about it! Take all the time you need. čÖé

Thank you love. Yes we do apologize, and we shouldn’t. If you can churn out the content consistently and you’re heart is in it then great! However there are times, I think most of us go through where you just have to take the break.

Welcome back! I think taking breaks is one of the best things someone can do for their blog! Forcing content isn’t good for anyone.

Thanks hon. Yeah I think it’s just best to walk away when needed. I think sometimes we get caught up in the I have to post every “wherever day your schedule is”, and feel guilty when we don’t stay on top of it.

  • Breaks are completely necessary. I’m not officially on one, but I’ve been feeling meh about blogging lately. It’s like I want to, but either struggling with making time for it or figuring out content “worth” sharing. Consistency may matter, but as always, blog for you. Forcing it won’t do any good. Anyway. Welcome back! <3

Thanks hon! Yes consistency is key, but sometimes it’s just not possible. I’m in the same boat as you, time and just wanting content that I think it’s worth sharing.

  • Breaks are a part of life! We all need them. I know I’ve been on another one again when I had no intention of doing so but school got the better of me! Welcome back regardless and you know where are here for you! I have been hitting up the convention schedule and now is travel season for me! It’s gonna be a very busy time!
